Are headaches and jaw pain preventing you from living life to the fullest?

Do not let TMJ symptoms stop you from enjoying your life
People who suffer from temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD) are often in so much pain, they stop participating in the activities they used to enjoy. Sleep can be restless and quality of life can be lessened. Fortunately, this disorder can be diagnosed and treated by your local dentist. Dr. Alex Titus can examine you for TMD indicators, evaluate range of motion using ultra sound, and identify any bite interferences.
How do you know if you have TMD?
TMJ disorders result when there is a problem with your jaw joint. The disorder can develop quickly and seemingly out of nowhere but it can be brought on by teeth grinding. Grinding your teeth places stress on your jaw joint and muscles. Poor occlusion also affects your jaw joint and muscles by changing your bite and therefore, the way your teeth fit together. Removing any interferences, such as a tall crown or filling, with an adjustment, may be the first step to providing you with the relief you need. Dr. Titus also treats TMD with splint therapy and in some cases, muscle massage.
